About this blog
A blog about the meanderings of a craft designer and hand maker living in a beautiful island at the end of the earth....I'm a weaver addicted to her little Ashford Knitters Loom, a crocheter, knitter, painter, gardener and grandma. Rowena lives in Tasmania - a world apart, not a world away!

Trip to Victoria
Well, what a week! I had hoped to market at Daylesford Sunday 7th but if you followed the Victorian weather, that was not a good day! Hailstones the size of golf balls on the Saturday and more of the same and wild wind and rain on the Sunday...so I gave it a miss! Visited Kyneton Farmer's Market on the next Saturday and what a lovely little market! A nice mix of produce and crafts and lots of people. A definite must next time. So on to Daylesford on Sunday 14th! It was a huge set up - many more stalls than I had seen before - possibly because of the previous week's weather. Some really great stuff for sale and lots and lots of junk!! Weather was beautiful with temps in the high 20's. Unfortunately not a lot of people through. My neighbouring stall holders told me that it was sparse. But Rowena did OK. Good sales and lots of cards taken! Also got info on other maker's markets in the Highlands and Goldfields areas. Everyone was very friendly.....So planning the next trip!
